Company history in sheet vinyl flooring
Lonseal, Inc., a subsidiary of Lonseal Corporation in Tokyo, was founded in Southern California in 1972. From the start, the company became known for unique sheet vinyl flooring with bold color choices. In the early 1980s, Lonseal introduced Lonplate, the first steel-plate-inspired vinyl flooring, which helped build its reputation for innovative, embossed designs. Over time, new technology gave Lonseal products added flexibility and performance, setting them apart from typical vinyl.
Often called the “little giant” of sheet vinyl flooring, Lonseal has a corporate sales office in Carson, California, staffed by a team with an average of 40 years of experience. Designers and architects across the country specify Lonseal products because we focus on one thing—creating flooring that delivers more quality than expected. Beyond durability and beauty, Lonseal is also flexible, offering custom options to meet each project’s needs.
How It Works
Frequently Asked Questions
We only provide sheet vinyl flooring. Sheet vinyl and linoleum are two different types of flooring. While both are sheet goods, linoleum is actually made with ingredients like linseed oil (from where it derives its name), rosin, mineral fillers, and a burlap or canvas jute backing.
